Fix Your Microphone & Sound Issues
If your mic or speakers aren’t working on Zoom, Teams, or Windows — here’s how to fix it quickly.
1. Check Physical Connections
- Is your microphone plugged in?
- Is the cable loose?
- Is your headset muted?
2. Choose the Correct Input Device
Go to:
Settings → System → Sound → Input
Choose the correct mic (USB mic, headset mic, laptop mic).

If it doesn’t move → it’s not detecting audio.

Go to:
Settings → Privacy → Microphone
Allow the app you’re using (Zoom, Teams, Chrome).
5. Update Audio Drivers
